Honeywell – Performs Above the Rest
Honeywell’s HEPA type technology was originally developed during the World War II to remove radio active dust for plant exhausts, nowadays HEPA Filters (HIGH EFFICIENCY PARTICULATE ARRESTANCE) are used mainly for electronic clean room assemblies, isolation wards, surgical theaters, bioengineering, pharmaceutical processing, etc – anywhere where maximum removal of sub micron particulates is required.
Due to its ability to filter 99.97% of all particulates as small as 0.3 microns, it is now widely used for medical applications such as isolation of patients under treatment involving immunological isolation, care for burn victims, orthopedic surgery, etc.
HEPA Filters essentially intercepts particulates with its deep bed of randomly positioned micro glass fibers. The direct flow of air is tortuously filled with twists and turns, with the end passage gradually narrows which results with higher filtering efficiency.
HEPA does not require any cleaning or maintenance in order to maintain its peak efficiency.
This special enviracaire model, with the addition of CPZ, goes one step beyond. CPZ is an odor and gas adsorbing filter that is effective in reducing tobacco smoke odors, cooking odors, common household odors and gases and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) emitted by new carpeting and other synthetic materials.
